Track & Field at Maywood Hills is a spring time team sport. Practices usually start in April, following spring break. The season is over near the end of May or the first week of June.
This program is open to 3rd, 4th & 5th graders of all abilities. Participants have the opportunity to try running events, like the 50 yard dash, 75 yard dash or the longer 440 yard run. Team members are also introduced to field events, like the high jump, long jump, and triple jump. Field events also include a ball throw using a softball, and a ball kick involving a soccer ball.
